 GREIDA IA 1680, o TOM, é filho do reprodutor texel importado da Holanda, o GREIDA 272, um dos grandes reprodutores que colocou a Fazenda Portão Vermelho como referência nacional na produção de matrizes e reprodutores campeões de ganho de peso e conformação de carcaça na linhagem holandesa do texel. - A raça texel de linhagem Holandesa traz algumas características interessantes como (i) Rústica e sóbria, produzindo bem no sistema extensivo e semi intensivo; (ii) Produz uma ótima carcaça, com gordura muito reduzida; (iii) Precoce. Em condições de pastagens, entre os 30 e 90 dias de idade, os cordeiros machos têm ganhos de peso médio diário de 300 g e as fêmeas de 275 gramas. Aos 70 dias de idade, machos bem formados atingem 27 kg e as fêmeas 23 kg; (iv) Prolífera, pois atinge índices de nascimento de 160%, tendo atingido na França índices de 190 até 200%.
- Através do Programa de Melhoramento Genético OVIGOL (Tabela 01 - Lamb Plan) "TOM" foi escolhido para ser um dos pais de Cabanha da Fazenda Portão Vermelho, e além das premiações que obeteve em pistas de julgamento como: Grande Campeão em Campo Mourão 2010, Campeão de Categoria na Expolondrina e EFAPI 2010.
- Com apenas 15 meses de idade, TOM já possuía dezenas de filhos avaliados, comprovando o potencial de ser um reprodutor melhorador, com DEPs para ganho de peso acima da média da Fazenda Portão Vermelho com alta acurácia.
- É um animal compacto, muito harmônico, de ótimos aprumos e e beleza racial além de uma extraordinária cobertura de musculatura.

Questo nuovo allevamento in Svizzera apre agli allevatori Italiani la possibilità di un trasporto degli animali entro il termine legale.
